I make art to provide the support, comfort, and authentic representation that I desperately needed when I was a disabled child. I want to cultivate a safe space to increase awareness and understanding of topics that are often considered taboo. My mission is to use storytelling to give my pain a purpose, to create a more inclusive and compassionate world, and to make sure that discrimination, such as ableism, is noticed and eliminated. I want disabled, chronically ill, and neurodivergent people to feel seen, heard, and valued. I also want to create space for people to learn about these experiences so that we can use our collective voices to achieve social equity. Art is the best (and perhaps the only) way I know to make real, lasting change, and to process the pain we experience.
