Fundraising for DAiSY: Dorking Group of Artists’ Spring Exhibition 2024

Apr 24, 2024 | General

We are honoured that Dorking Group of Artists have chosen DAiSY as their fundraising charity for their Spring Exhibition 2024. Thank you so much!

Members of Dorking Group of Artists came together at one of their Tuesday workshops and painted a series of beautiful floral panels – each of which will be displayed and sold at their upcoming Spring 2024 exhibition.  100% of the sales proceeds from these pieces will go to DAiSY!

“In a recent workshop many members created a small painting, each of which will be donated for a fund raising sale at our exhibition. Do come and find out more at our exhibition, and purchase some artworks to support DAiSY!”

The DGA Spring 2024 exhibition will take place at Betchworth Village Hall from Friday 3 May – Monday 6 May.

The exhibition is free to visit, and is open at the following times:

Friday 10am – 5pm
Saturday 10am – 5pm
Sunday 10am – 4pm

About Dorking Group of Artists

Originally formed in 1947, the Dorking Group of Artists has over 180 members. It is a thriving, non-profit making society whose members enjoy practising their artistic skills, expertise and interests in the company of friendly like minded companions. The Group meets weekly all year round for Summer and Winter programmes of painting and tutorial sessions which include demonstrations, workshops and critiques. These sessions are well attended resulting in good creativity and good friendships. The DGA holds two exhibitions each year. The Annual Exhibition is held at Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking and the Spring Exhibition is held at Betchworth Village Hall. Both exhibitions are very well attended and continue to be very successful due to the very high standard of work on display. They give Exhibiting members an excellent opportunity to show and sell their work and collectors a unique opportunity to purchase recent original work by local artists at very reasonable prices.

The Dorking Group of Artists meets on Tuesday afternoons at Beare Green Village Hall from September through to Easter. Membership is open to artists of all abilities, from beginner to professional and costs just £20 per calendar year. The activities programme is varied and includes workshops and demonstrations. (Outdoor painting and sketching during the summer months).
