Welcome to Our New Member Organisations!

Jun 21, 2024 | General, Members

Welcome to our two new member organisations, The Meath Epilepsy Charity and ARTHOUSE Unlimited!

At its heart DAiSY is a steering group of like minded organisations who use creativity for the benefit of the local community. These members are spread across the county, vary in size and mode of delivery, but all provide artistic workshops, support mental wellbeing, bringing people together and make artistic work.

The steering group meets regularly to shape DAiSY strategy, discuss ideas and explore countywide issues. We also operate as an informal network, with opportunities for members to contact each other directly for support and advice.

ARTHOUSE Unlimited

ARTHOUSE Unlimited is a charity presenting artistic talents of adults with complex neuro-diverse and physical support needs. Offering a sense of purpose and social inclusion lies at the heart of the charity. 100% of sales revenue helps support its sustainability and growth.

All artwork derives from the skills each artist brings and every contribution holds real value. We aim to offer adults living with complex support needs an opportunity to enhance better emotional wellbeing through a feeling of true purpose and inclusion in celebration of each person’s artistic skills and talents. Every day something beautiful is created in the studio where the sessions are held. Most importantly every day the artists feel valued, included, and proud of their own and each other’s achievements. The aim is to help each artist feel happier in life by offering a stage, voice and an audience to showcase individual talents. As a collective of over 50 artists, instructors, inclusion officers, designers, operations staff and volunteer team, collaboration is at the centre of everything for the charity, illuminating just what we can do when we include, empower and all work together.

The Meath Epilepsy Charity

We recognise ability which means that the people that we support are enabled to live as independently as possible, challenge themselves and to fulfil their potential. This positive ‘can do’ culture is shared by the people we support, staff and volunteers alike across our broad range of services and facilities.
Our very special community is located in a stunning setting and boasts fantastic facilities in central Godalming. The Meath’s beautiful Grade II listed manor house, together with other higher-needs modern annex houses and the Skills Centre are all set in landscaped grounds. Our location is both peaceful yet close to local amenities and the main line train station. We are proud to be at the heart of our local community and to enjoy strong links with the town.
